Accessibility

1600.gg is built for every student preparing for the SAT, including students with disabilities. This page explains what we aim for, where we fall short today, and how to tell us about a problem.

1. Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the website and practice platform. In practice that means we work toward:

• Pages and practice questions you can use with a keyboard alone;
• Content that works with screen readers, with labeled buttons, form fields, and headings;
• Text and controls with sufficient color contrast in both light and dark themes;
• Layouts that still work when you zoom to 200% or use a phone;
• Text alternatives for images and figures that carry meaning.

We review new features against these goals, and we fix reported problems as a priority. We have not yet had an independent audit, so this is a commitment we are working toward rather than a claim of full conformance.

2. Known limitations

These are the areas we know are not yet fully accessible:

• Timed tests. Mock exams and the weekly adaptive test are timed to match the real SAT. If you need more time, use the extended-time setting described below.
• Graphing calculator. The built-in graphing calculator is visual, and graphs are not yet fully described to screen readers. Equations you type can be read, but the plotted graph itself may not be.
• Some figures. A number of math figures, charts, and tables in practice questions do not yet have complete text descriptions. If a figure is not described well enough for you to answer the question, please report it (see below) and we will fix it.

3. Extended time

If you have, or are preparing for, testing accommodations such as extended time, you can practice with the same timing you will have on test day. On the start screen of a mock exam or the weekly adaptive test, choose Standard time, 1.5× time, or 2× time. The timer for every module is multiplied by your choice, and your choice is remembered for next time.

Pacing reports use your extended time limit, so a student practicing with 1.5× or 2× time is measured against that limit and is not flagged as slow for using time they are entitled to. Anyone can use this setting; we do not ask for proof of an accommodation.

Official SAT accommodations are granted by the College Board, not by 1600.gg. Practicing with extended time here does not request or guarantee accommodations on the real test.

4. Report a problem

If something on 1600.gg is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email roadto1600official@gmail.com and, if you can, include:

• The page or question (a link or question ID helps);
• What you were trying to do and what went wrong;
• The device, browser, and any assistive technology you use (for example, a screen reader or magnifier).

We will respond within 5 business days. If we cannot fix the problem right away, we will tell you what we plan to do and help you get the content another way where we can.
